Transportation of the Decedent from the location of death. (Late residence, hospital, nursing home etc.) Within 40 Km. of Halifax. 

The Basic care and sheltering in a secure facility during the waiting period prior to the cremation is being completed.

Meeting with the family in the comfort of their own home by caring dignified funeral consultants to obtain all necessary information for the government.

Completing and obtaining the necessary signatures for the Application for Cremation and Instruction for Disposition of the Cremated Remains form.

Present various options regarding cremation services and provide assistance in arranging for a location for burial, niche interment, granite monument or scattering of the cremated remains. Provide assistance in arranging a meaningful tribute to a life lived. Arranging for a location in which to hold a service of remembrance and a gathering. Arrange for a location in which to hold a reception following such a tribute service. We also can assist in arranging just a simple personal good-bye.

Obtaining and filing of the signed death registration and getting the necessary permits 

Transport the remains to the crematorium for cremation once all necessary documents are secured

Cremation will only take place at a qualified and approved crematorium that maintains a provincial license

Returning cremated remains to family in a basic crematorium shipping container

Proofs of Death for Estate purposes will be issued to the next of kin

Canada Pension forms will be provided upon request. Last Post Veterans information will be provided to the family so that they may inquire re; eligibility

The cost of this service is $995.00 plus H.S.T.

This is our basic service, however, you are not limited to this service as we can provide many other service options. These may include viewing of the body by some family members that have a need to say good-bye (ie..grandchildren or other relatives that were away at the time of death).

The use of a funeral chapel for a private or public service of remembrance, facilities for visitation (with or without the body or urn present), facilities for a reception. We can even provide a limousine for the day of the service as many families find it difficult and perhaps unsafe to be driving. We can provide memory boards for families to create a pictorial collage of a life lived and memory tables that allows for a meaningful display of personal articles that reflect the life of a person you are remembering.

We can provide a complete selection of urns, rental caskets, cremation containers, caskets, granite monuments, bronze markers, a columbarium niches or an in ground interment site.

Other Cost Not Included 

Cemetery charges, urns, charges for facilities for memorial service or facilities for reception, catering, staff for memorial service or reception, family limousines, newspaper notices with picture or endearments, honorarium for the person who will officiate, musicians or mileage outside of the 40 km radius @ $.88 per km.
